About
I'm an AI and cloud engineer. Since 2024 I've been building at Automation Architects in Cape Town, where the work is agent-first: LLM agents designed to own real business processes end to end, not chatbots bolted on afterwards. My home base is Python on Google Cloud.
Day to day that means Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI / AI Studio for agents, BigQuery for warehousing and analytics, Cloud SQL for operational data, and Cloud Run and Kubernetes for serving — all shipped through proper CI/CD pipelines so deployments are boring and repeatable.
I work across model providers rather than betting on one: Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI, xAI's Grok, and Gemini, routed to whichever fits the task on capability, latency, and cost. Much of that lands as business-process automation — replacing manual back-office workflows with agents — with the results surfaced in Power BI dashboards and data visualization the business actually reads.
I didn't start in software. I sold property in Cape Town first, then retrained through a full-stack programme at Life Choices Coding Academy and cut my teeth on internships in web, UX and SEO. That route is why real estate is a domain I know from both sides — the agents' desks and the data behind them — and why I build property platforms and automate the workflows around them, from listings through to reporting.
I care about systems that are observable, well-tested, and cheap to operate — the unglamorous work that turns a demo into something people trust in production. I think in databases, schemas, and latency budgets as much as in prompts.
